[ Harley barely takes stock of where she wakes up; she immediately springs into motion, a blur of red and black barreling through corridors, pushing forcefully between orbers, and vaulting over furniture and miscellaneous obstacles. Within seconds of returning the Ximilia, she is bursting through the door to the room she remembers sharing with Ivy, and the wave of relief that washes over her when she sets eyes on her girlfriend is indescribable. ]
Ive! [ She leaps across the room, arms outstretched, with intent to wrap Ivy in a firm (if somewhat suffocating) hug. ] Oh, thank God you came back too! I don't know how I would've done this without you.
[Hearing Harley's voice, familiar and welcome and so very fucking missing the past few months goes right to Ivy's chest, wiping away any lingering resentment she might feel.
Jesus-fucking-Christ, Ivy had missed her.
She might be slightly crushed, but she puts her arms around Harley in return, holding her for a moment before she starts worrying about the logistics of breathing.]
Peanut, I didn't go anywhere. I've been here the whole time—what happened? I thought you left?
[ A long stretch of seconds pass before Ivy's words sink in. Harley is preoccupied with kissing whichever parts of Ivy she can get her mouth on— presently, as luck would have it, her clavicle. But then her lips still against Ivy's collar and she pulls back with a confused expression. ]
What? No, you were there with me! There's no way you've been here the whole time. I know I've been losin' my marbles even more than usual but you were there to keep me semi-sane!
[The last thing Ivy wants to do right now is pick a fight. Not when Harley is back, and hey, apparently she didn't think she'd left Ivy behind at all which is... good? Maybe?
And especially, especially when Harley is necking on her pretty insistently. She'd been alone in this room for months, and like, Ivy is a woman with needs.]
I've definitely been here the whole time.
[Her hands land on Harley's hips, her thumbs brushing her waistband, but she shows some restraint.]
Maybe the orbs did something fucky with the timeline? I don't know, that seems in their wheelhouse.
[The evening before they're set to leave on the mission, he finds her in the garden, tending to her greenery which really shouldn't be surprising at all. It's due to her help that his tomatoes have flourished after all. He approaches with a lazy smile in place.]
[The plants help calm her nerves before the mission, helps her clear her head. Especially knowing this won't be a normal mission, she can use that.
She nods when he joins her. Of all the people on the station, Wei Wuxian is on the short list of people she's not, you know, annoyed to see. She even smiles a little.]
[He holds something out to her in his hand. It's a palm sized pouch made with a rough dark fabric, with simple black detailing and a black drawstring to pull it open and closed.]
This is a qiankun pouch. I should have given one to you sooner, but I'm afraid I've been pretty bad lately at remembering to make them. Better late than never, right? [He smiles.]
There have been missions where gathering food, water, and other resources has been difficult, and from what we know of this one, this mission may be one of them. Don't be fooled by the size. It has expansion charms sewn in and can fit almost an entire person. So you can use it to provide you with whatever provisions you want to bring.
Yeah, it usually is. I try to bring several bottles with me when I can. You can stick weapons in there too, but I wouldn't recommend anything with an edge that can damage the rest of your things.
[Something she said gives him a thought, and he tilts his head.] It would be nice if could figure out a way to attach the extension array to something that can hold water by itself. [It actually doesn't sound too difficult to do, but he'd never thought of it before. It feels rather silly to consider it now. Ah, well.]
[His brow rises in surprise before smoothing out as he shakes his head, smiling warmly at her.]
Aiya, don't be silly! I don't expect anything in return. I can't do much for my friends, but I can do this. And if you must think of it as an exchange, then please remember you have been diligently helping me keep my tomatoes alive.
[Meaning the tomatoes. Tomatoes are usually fairly beginner friendly, but especially in a station environment where they might be left untended for months at a time, it still feels like an accomplishment.]
In truth he has no special attachments to tomatoes, but Itachi had once told him that they were Sasuke's favorite, so when the man had left the seeds for him to grow, Wei Wuxian had been delighted to do his best with the unspoken request. They won't matter here for much longer he supposes, but that's alright.]
The seeds were a gift from a friend. [He admits softly, eyes warm.] I'm grateful I was able to make them grow even if for a short while.
[Before he can get too sappy about that, he flashes her with a smile.]
I should get back to finish packing, but let me know if you need anything when we get there, alright?
action!

Ivy, do you have a moment?

Sure. What's up?

Then she takes it, opening the pouch curiously.]
So you're saying it's bigger on the inside.
[She opens it a little, curiously.]
Water is going to be a bigger problem than food for me, at least, but you can't have too much of it, right?

[Softly, considering the pouch in her hand.]
Sorry, I don't have anything for you.

I have to admit, they're looking very nice.

[And she is getting better about working together, she thinks.
There's been some positive reinforcement for cooperating. A part of her is still expecting the other shoe to drop, but so far...
Well, this is pretty okay.]
Let me know if you have any other tomato related problems while we're there.

You'll be the first one I go to. [He winks at her and then waves, heading out.]
